WDCB Jazz @ The Plex: Elisha Organ Trio + Trumpeter Gabriel Wade

Presented by 90.9 WDCB “Chicago’s Home for Jazz!”

The Elisha Organ Trio is a rising Chicago-based jazz ensemble known for blending classic jazz lineage with elements of gospel, groove, and hip-hop. The group consists of three primary musicians who share band leadership roles:

• Ben Crino on guitar — noted for a sharp contrast to standard smooth jazz styles, using an aggressive picking technique and dry tone.

• Isaiah Jones Jr. on organ — a Milwaukee native who brings strong groove and gospel influences to the instrument.

• Sid Smith IV on drums — a California native stationed in Chicago driving the rhythm section.

FEATURING!

Gabriel Wade is an award-winning jazz trumpeter, pianist, and educator serving as Jazz Trumpet Professor at the Mead Witter School of Music at UW–Madison. Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, he earned his Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Northern Illinois University in 2024.
